
8-WEEK SEATED PILATES COURSE
The Coast Pilates 8-week Seated Pilates Course is ideal for older adults, beginners, people returning to exercise, or anyone who prefers a chair-based class. The course should progressively improve posture, core strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and confidence.
8-Week Seated Pilates Course what to expect.
Weekly Progression:

Weeks 1–2: Learn posture, breathing, and movement quality.

Weeks 3–4: Build mobility and gentle strength.

Weeks 5–6: Add endurance, coordination, and optional resistance bands or small balls.

Weeks 7–8: Develop flowing sequences and functional movements to support daily activities
By the end of the eight weeks, you should be able to:

Sit with improved postural awareness and alignment.

Use Pilates breathing to support movement.

Activate their core muscles during everyday activities.

Improve spinal mobility and flexibility.
-
Increase lower- and upper-body strength.
-
Enhance seated balance and coordination.
-
Move more confidently during functional tasks such as reaching, standing, and walking.

Perform a 20–30-minute seated Pilates routine independently at home.

The course will run from Friday 4 September 2026 and will complete Friday 25 October. Classes will start at 10.00 am.
On completion of the course, you can join as a regular member and continue with the weekly class.
Course Fee - £68 for eight sessions

The Course is restricted to eight participants and can be cancelled and refunded if less than five persons sign up. There are no refunds or make ups for classes missed.
