TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions set out the framework for membership, class bookings, payments, and related policies, with the aim of supporting a smooth and enjoyable experience for all Coast Pilates members.

They are intended to ensure fairness, flexibility, and clarity – while upholding the high standards of service and professionalism that define the Coast Pilates experience.

1. Membership

Coast Pilates operates on a membership basis, with members paying for classes in advance on a rolling 12-month schedule. Payments are due in full by the 1st of each month.

2. Class Booking Cycle

Regular attendance is key to getting the most from your Pilates practice. However, we also recognise the importance of occasional breaks to refresh both body and mind.

Over the course of a year, members attending one class per week will be invoiced for 48 sessions (four per month), regardless of the number of weeks in a particular month. This means there will be four weeks without regular classes – two weeks in August and two weeks over the Christmas period.

 

3. Class Bookings and Missed Classes

When you join Coast Pilates, you will be allocated a permanent space in a specific class, which will remain reserved for you as long as your membership is active.

If you need to reschedule a class, you can do so via the Coast Pilates Online Booking System on your laptop or smartphone. Once your membership is active, you will receive a link to the system, allowing you to manage bookings and check class availability. For ease of use, we recommend downloading the Coast Pilates App on your smartphone.

If you cannot attend a class, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance to free up the space for another member. When rescheduling, ensure you remove yourself from the class you are unable to attend.

 

While we will always do our best to accommodate scheduling changes, we cannot guarantee availability in your preferred time slot, as class sizes and schedules are limited. No refunds will be issued if a suitable class is not available.

4. Planned Absence for Holidays

If you plan to be away for more than four weeks, you can retain your place in a specific group class (e.g. Mondays at 9:15 am) by paying 25% of the monthly fee.

For absences exceeding one month, please discuss arrangements with Daan Coetzee at least three weeks before your planned departure.

5. Payments

  • Payments for classes are made via direct debit on a monthly basis.

  • We use GoCardless, a secure service provider, to process direct debits.

  • GoCardless will notify you by email when a payment has been set up and again three working days before the payment is taken.

  • Coast Pilates does not store bank details. All transactions are securely processed through ClubManager.com, our class booking and accounting system.

 

6. Cancelling Your Membership

You may cancel your membership at any time with at least 21 days' notice. You may continue attending classes during the notice period; however, any unused classes cannot be carried over after cancellation.

 

Refund Policy: We do not issue cash refunds for classes that have been paid for but not used.
