MEET THE TEAM
Rebecca Coetzee MCSP
Founder of Coast Pilates
Following a career as a chartered physiotherapist in London, Rebecca trained as a Pilates instructor at the prestigious Renee Watson Pilates Studio in Cape Town, South Africa, close to where she went on to open her first Pilates studio in 2005.
With her background supporting patients with rehabilitation, Rebecca specialises helping clients build strength and confidence, to enable them to reach their full potential.
Swapping stilettos for trainers, Jenny replaced a career in the financial industry to become a personal trainer and sports injury therapist. Her love of Pilates really blossomed when she realised the benefits of being able to adapt every exercise for her clients, whatever their level of fitness or strengths.
Jenny is now a mother of two children and is a keen advocate of Pilates during pregnancy to improve the experience during labour and speed up recovery after a birth.
Throughout Jenny’s career she has always helped people stay fit and healthy, first training in sports massage, then studying Chi Kun, an ancient Chinese exercise discipline.
She qualified as a Pilates instructor in 2012 at the internationally recognised Polestar Pilates in London. Jenny joined the Coast team in 2019.
When not practicing Pilates, you might well spot Emma out on the water as rowing is her other big passion. She volunteers at a local rowing club where she teaches teenagers how to strengthen their bodies, as part of their training to compete in a physically demanding sport.
She has been practicing Pilates for over a decade and qualified as an instructor at the Renee Watson of Consciousness Movement Education in South Africa in 2018.
