MEET THE TEAM

Jenny Strehlau

Principal Instructor

Jenny runs the studios on a day-to-day basis, leading our team of instructors and helping us to meet our objectives as a business.

She decided to swap stilettos for trainers to replace a career in the financial industry to become a personal trainer and sports injury therapist. Her love of Pilates really blossomed when she realised  the benefits of being able to adapt every exercise for her clients, whatever their level of fitness or strengths.

Jenny is now a mother of two children and is a keen advocate of Pilates during pregnancy to improve the experience during labour and speed up recovery after a birth.

Jenny Newbery

Pilates Instructor

Throughout Jenny’s career she has always helped people stay fit and healthy, first training  in sports massage, then studying Chi Kung, an ancient Chinese exercise discipline. She worked in the French Alps and then the South of France, as well as two prestigious physiotherapy clinics in London.

Jenny qualified as a Pilates instructor in 2012 at the internationally recognised Polestar Pilates in London and joined the Coast team in 2019.

She is passionate about bringing movement to all people, whatever their age or level of fitness. She used the lockdowns to further her pilates knowledge with many world renowned teachers online focusing on whole body pelvic health for post natal women and how to help the older generation stay fit and healthy through pilates.

She is constantly expanding her Pilates knowledge and recently completed specialist courses on foot and hand Pilates and Pilates to support pain management.

The most important thing for Kate is that Pilates classes are fun as well as challenging, with great tips to use in day-to-day life outside the studio.
