BEGINNER PILATES COURSES

Pilates Mat Beginners Group

 

The Mat Beginners Group is a four-week program structured and set a foundation in Mat Pilates for complete beginners and take you through the principles of Pilates.

 

Weeks 1 and 2 will be used to build the base understanding of the Pilates principles - Concentration, control, alignment, centring, breathing, co-ordination and balance, precision and flow.

 

Then weeks 3 to 4 will you be exploring the essential thirty-four classic Pilates exercises.

 

At the end of the four weeks, you will have a foundational understanding of the Base principles of Pilates, to allow you to continue with your Pilates journey, bearing in mind the words of Joseph Pilates who said that

 

               “In 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20, you will see the difference. And in 30, you’ll

                 have a whole new body”

 

After four weeks the group will continue in the same day and time slot and teacher to reap the long-term benefits of regular Pilates.

 

The classes will be held in a small group setting with only seven persons in the class, ensuring that you get lots of expert tuition time and individual attention with your queuing, form and progression. Some small equipment will also be introduced to your practice with.

BEGINNER REFORMER COURSE

​

A six-week program to structure to set a foundation in Reformer Pilates. For complete beginners to people with some Pilates mat work experience.

 

The course will take you through the principles of Pilates and then introduce you to the versatile and invigorating Reformer equipment 

 

Weeks 1 and 2 will be building the base understanding of the Pilates principles of. 

Concentration, control, alignment, centring, breathing, co-ordination and balance, precision and flow. 

All within a mat work style setting 

 

Then weeks 3 to 6 will be exploring the Reformer it's self-working using foot bar, straps and pulleys, short box and the jump board. Taking you through the range of resistance and exercise movements that are possible with the reformer

 

The course will be held in a small group setting with only 4 people total per course. Ensuring that you get lots of expert tuition time and individual attention with your queuing, form and progression on the equipment.

 

At the end of the course, you should have a basic understanding of the Base principles of Pilates, the reformer equipment and your levels of resistance and movement. So that you can join a beginners level reformer class with Coast.
